Jaya Venkataraman, MD, DipABLM

Dr. Jaya Venkataraman, MD, is a caring and compassionate board-certified pediatrician at Germantown Pediatric and Family Medicine LLC in Germantown, Tennessee. She has over 20 years of experience in caring for children and young adults.


While she enjoys practicing all areas of pediatrics, she is especially interested in the management of patients with asthma, and preventive medicine. Her focus is to help all children develop healthy lifestyle habits so they can live their best lives now and invest in their future health. 


Dr. Jaya Venkataraman grew up in India, Tanzania and Jamaica, and Nigeria. Soon after graduating from Obafemi Awolowo University College of Health Sciences in Nigeria, Dr. Venkataraman moved to the United States. She completed her pediatric residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and worked as an attending physician at the Hospital Clinic for about 2 years after.


Dr. Venkataraman began practicing in Memphis, Tennessee, at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Emergency room and its urgent care Centers before starting her practice with a mission to provide excellent personalized care to children. The clinic expanded  to take care of patients of all ages recently.

Dr. Venkataraman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She is married with two grown children. Her hobbies include gardening, including growing tropical plants, and hiking. Her dream is to visit all sixty-three US national parks
