Geetha Kamath MD, FACP, DipABLM, DABOM

Dr. Geetha Kamath is triple board certified in internal medicine, obesity medicine and lifestyle medicine and currently is faculty for medical students, residents and endocrinology and nutrition fellowship training programs at the University of Missouri Kansas City, Kansas City, Missouri.

Having lived in India, and completing her medical school and an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in India, she has seen the challenges of malnutrition and high infant mortality rates.

She is also familiar with benefits of herbs and role of nutrition (ayurveda) and yoga in health and wellbeing. Her additional certification in Lifestyle and Obesity Medicine has  helped her care for patients in a wholistic manner and has been rewarding in many ways. As part of self care and work life balance, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, gardening and catching up with old friends as well as meeting new people on her travels. She loves tasting and trying new whole food plant based recipes from different cultures across the globe.
